Ham and Cheese Casserole

Ham and Cheese Bread Casserole



  • 1 loaf Chickpea bread thin sliced, into 17slices (put the two ends aside)
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cup non-dairy milk of your choice
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp tyme
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp himalayan salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz shredded mozarella
  • 8 oz thin sliced deli ham or turkey smoked is great too



  1. Grease a 12X7 being dish with butter / olive oil / ghee.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, mustard, thyme, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  3. Start layering you baking dish with the thin sliced bread, slightly overlapping.
  4. Sprinkle half of cheese.
  5. Layer all ham / turkey.
  6. Pour half of your liquid over.
  7. Lay the second layer of bread, slightly overlapping.
  8. Pour rest of liquid.
  9. Top of with rest of shredded cheese.
  10. Chill it in your fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Bake on 350F for 50 minutes.
  12. Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving. Add fresh Chive or green onions as garnish.
