The Special Body on Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States is a subsidiary body of the Commission that focuses on addressing the development challenges faced by the countries in special situations. It serves as a platform for promoting policy dialogue, information exchange, and cooperation among these countries, development partners, and other stakeholders. The overarching goal is to enhance the development prospects of these countries.
The Special Body meets annually and its sessions are organized as part of the Commission sessions. Issues considered at recent Special Body sessions are:
