Regional meeting on enhancing digital literacy among older persons in Asia and the Pacific - developing tools to increase digital literacy of older persons

This meeting, organized by the Social Development Division, ESCAP, in partnership with the China Population and Development Research Center (CPDRC), aims to bridge the digital divide for older persons across the region. As countries in Asia and the Pacific experience rapid population ageing amidst a digital transformation, enhancing digital literacy among older persons, especially older women, emerges as a critical need for fostering social inclusion and ensuring access to essential digital services. This meeting will convene stakeholders from Governments, civil society organizations, academia and international organizations to share good practices, develop effective training materials and enhance policy frameworks and tools to support digital literacy for older persons.
