This side event to the 80th session of the ESCAP Commission is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MDDIAI), Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Thailand, “National Information Technologies” JSC, International Technopark of IT startups Astana Hub, and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Kazakhstan and ESCAP will sign the Host Country Agreement with the intention of the joint delivery of the Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Digital Transformation (APMCDIT) in September 2024 in Astana. During this side event, the high-level speakers will highlight the expectations and outcomes of APMCDIT and the preparatory process. In addition, MDDIAI will deliver the statement to open Kazakhstan's Digital Innovations Exhibition Booth on GovTech and present the proposed vision of the new UN ESCAP Digital Solutions Center for Sustainable Development, established by the end of 2025.
