At this event, a report titled “Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Asian Countries” based on the results of the fifth UN Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation (2023) will be launched – on the first day as an open meeting.
Moreover, on the second day, based on the key findings of the report and identified gaps in implementing paperless and cross-border paperless trade measures, invited delegates from OIC Asian Countries will discuss matters related to paperless and cross-border paperless trade facilitation to identify and prioritize their capacity development needs and explore potential opportunities for collaborations.
This event is organized as a part of the Paperless Trade Week 2024, led by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT)
