The forthcoming session of the Committee on Transport is scheduled on 15-17 October in Bangkok. The Committee session will review national, sub-regional and regional progress in transport, and to discuss the ways to address common challenges and potential for future direction of the secretariat’s work. The Committee is expected to culminate with outcomes significant for the future programme focus to support the post-2015 development agenda, that may
lead towards the realization of an international integrated intermodal transport and logistics system in the region. This year there will be a joint session with the Committee on Information and Communication Technology on cross-sectoral infrastructure synergies.
