The main objective of this study was to review the process of acquiring a business license for women entrepreneurs in Samoa and in doing so, provide recommendations to simplify the process, raise awareness, and address barriers faced by women entrepreneurs in Samoa. This study focuses on micro and small businesses owned by women who operate largely in the informal sector and are not formally licensed.
